Lil' JJ-Reporting from the Conventions Day 3

Lil’ JJ here with my last blog from Denver, Colorado. Lil’ JJ here with my last blog from Denver, Colorado. Today was one of the most exciting day’s I have ever had in my life. We went to INVESCO Field. This was the day that Barack Obama gave his speech. We arrived extra early since we knew it would take forever to get through security. It was extra tight. I have been amazed the whole time by all the security.

Once we got into INVESCO Field, I got to go down to the floor again and speak to some more delegates. It was really cool to be on the football field of the Denver Broncos. Go Broncos!! I even ran into Jamie Foxx and got to say “What’s Up”! I am a big fan of his work and I am sure he is a big fan of mine. I even went over to kick it with the Arkansas delegates. I am an Arkansas native so I wanted them to know that I was there supporting all of them.

The best part was the experience of being there. I was on that field in front of everyone when Barack Obama gave his speech. . No one that I know can actually say that (except for the Election Connection team). It was very touching for me. It wasn’t even just his speech itself, because I didn’t understand everything that he said, but it truly made me want to go back and learn and research some of the stuff that he was talking about. Hearing about his and Michelle’s story made me want to strive and be the best at what I do. As soon as the speech was done my mom even called to say that I had been a part of history, which I was! Seeing Barack Obama and Joe Biden together on stage was powerful and moving. I even saw Lily starting to shed a tear, but she didn’t think I saw her. It was an emotional moment for both of us. It was also extra special because today was the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech, so today was a very good day for Lil’ JJ.

The Democratic Convention was an unbelievable experience. Now it’s on to Minnesota for the Republican one!
