Need For Speed puts you back on the road with Shift! You’re literally thrown into the driver’s seat. Players learn pretty quickly that you’ve got to drive by the rules or risk beating up your ride! And no one likes a dent in their Maserati. Racing in Shift is not as hard as it is in real life, but feels and looks just as real. The cockpit view is definitely where it’s at. With such a realistic experience, it’s expected that your view of the track would change as you speed up and brake. But what is entirely unexpected is what happens when you crash. The whole screen goes nuts! Your vision gets blurry, the screen gets tossed around in front of you and the colors even fade to black and white. I had to put the controller down and make sure I was still sitting in my living room and not in a real race car *phew*!
